Shorelines


I am captivated by tree-lined shores
Sharp-edged delineations between water and sky
Where the world turns upside down
Where the heavens are reflected, shimmering
Where existences mingle and take on alternate affection
Interleaved edges of reality, air and liquid
Fluid, each, in their own etherial ways.

Thanks Mike. It was tough staying up for that one after a full day of fishing. Just three days after the summer solstice, June 23rd, taken just a few minutes before midnight. The days were long up there. But it was the night before departure and, well, you know what those can be like...
