The Photo Bin - October 2015
The camera didn't get much use this month. Life gets in the way, sometimes. But over the last couple of days I've wandered out of the house and snapped a handful of images of the surrounding woods as Autumn begins to creep in. It'll change fast, to be sure, but I always like that early-season moment when sourwood oranges, dogwood reds, and hickory golds begin to emerge against the steadfast and stubborn oak green, lighting up the woods and dappling the forest floor in riotous color.
My favorite time of the year.

Pretty! My favorite time of year also.
Hi, Mike.
Just wanted to give you a shout out and say thanks for sharing your beautiful Fall season back your way. Beautiful out here in Colorado also. Sometimes, I wish it could be Fall 365 days a year.............
Thanks, Jeff!
Mel, one of my most vivid fall memories is of the Aspens on the road back from Buena Vista to Denver one mid-September afternoon, many years past. You do have it nice out there.
Gorgeous, my favorite time of year as well. Though my Montana autumn looks so different from yours. Still, I think I could live in the middle of those pictures....
A time when nature is most beautiful. Some say the end of the year, but I say the beginning of the best time of year.
We are total agreement, Chris and Dwayne! Thanks for stopping by.
Just finished my periodic visit on your blog....always a delight Mike...thanks for sharing all this with us.

Some great Fall shots here, Mike. Really enjoyed all of these.
Always nice to have you drop by, JP. Our hearts are with you and your countrymen.
Thanks, Justin, but the credit is all Mother Nature's.
