Trading Places - A Tale of Two Decks

Winter took it's best shot and won.
But instead of bowing our heads and giving in,
we packed up our bags and went elsewhere.

Take that, Mr. Winter.

Note: It's been years since Mary and I have gotten away together for more than a weekend on anything other than a family visit. You know, a real vacation. This was a trip with great friends and perfectly timed to escape winter's last blast; a week on the small Puerto Rican island of Culebra. Not a fishing excursion, although a fly rod somehow found its way into the duffle. Yes, I'm incorrigible. But if you're looking for fishing, you'll have to wait just a bit. The few posts that follow are simply travelogue. Hope you enjoy them just the same.

Looking forward to the trip updates... But given how relatively nice our week was here at home, you might wish just a little that your trip was set up a week or two earlier. :<)

Actually, Rich, we were gone for the worst of it. Jumping on a plane between the deep stuff and ensuing arrival of the ice and rain. Arrived home last week in synch with the onset of our current delightful weather.

Or perhaps it arrived with us...

That's the way it's done Mike.

If you can't beat 'em...pack your bags and head to the islands!

Looking forward to the upcoming posts.

What do you Florida guys know about snow, Mike? Oh, I forgot. You packed your bags and never came back!

Good hearing from you, sir. Hope all is well.
