Intermission, here, for A Christmas Fire. Since I've been overwhelming you with words, here's a visual break; shots taken from yesterday's cold and rainy day on Been-Sworn-To-Secrecy Creek with my buddies Ken, Bill, and, despite their absence in these pics, a shit-load of brook trout.
The lobby lights are flashing. Kindly return to your seats. Our holiday tale will resume shortly.
That's hard to argue with, Kevin. :-)
ReplyDelete4th photo down...most glorious "staircase" I've ever seen...
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely way to look at it, Erin. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThis should be categorized under April Fool's because it didn't really happen.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to believe except those are some beautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteBill's right. This is not the trout stream you are looking for...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Howard. First images from my new P&S. And that's a story in itself.
I'll be glad to come along next time with just the camera:) I'll leave the GPS at home....really!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Darrin. This is Bill and Ken's super secret place. They put a hood over my head and buds blasting AC/DC in my ears. And I was driving.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your photo essay. Very "easy on the eye". Keep it coming!
ReplyDeleteThere are some really nice slick rock "slides" on that stream too. Eh, Mike? Really great place to get a compound fracture, slowly starve, and finally get consumed by ginormous Eastern coyotes. Probably a hell-of-a-lot of snakes, too, at the right time of the year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Trutta. I suspect that while we shivered in the cold rain you were enjoying a completely different weather pattern. Happy holidays
ReplyDeleteFor sure, Ken. Absolutely treacherous out there. My life flashed before my eyes on several occasions. How we got out in one piece, I'll never know. Anyone would be crazy to fish that place. I'm never going back. Ever. (What are you doing next week?)
Mike, it is a beautiful place you have captured on your new camera. Amazing to me that everything is still looks so much like non-winter. Best that you took no pictures of the Brookies' for they would have certainly spoken as to from where they came from!
ReplyDeleteIt sure felt like winter, Mel. Only the fluffy white stuff was missing. And I don't know what brookies you are talking about...
ReplyDeleteThat IS a marvellous little stream.I'll be glad when all dead leaves disappear here...have to sweep them all in my yard...it's a hard job.LOL
ReplyDeleteJP
Here I just let the leaves fall, Jean Paul. It's a lost cause. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
