Sometimes words just get in the way. Mindful of that, I'll simply let this handful of images depict for you a day on the Upper Ruby River. I struggle to recall time on the water spent any more pleasurably.

Returning to Camp at the End of a Crown Jewel Day |
We fished the Ruby as a fallback from high and stained conditions on Red Rock Creek. Disappointed, at first, to have missed that waterway, I just can't imagine it could have been any better than the outing we had. I guess I'll just have to go back for The Rock next time - after a return day on the Ruby.
The Ruby is on the list for a future trip. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteJealous. You are fishing some very beautiful country. The pictures are beautiful...

The pastel colors on those fish are neat.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty nice consolation. I'd love to have a backup stream that looked like that.
ReplyDeleteI love the rod, reel and Cutbow photo...that spot of time after everything goes right. Beautiful, Mike...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThe Ruby is oft overlooked river for no good reason. I have had great success on the lower Ruby below the reservoir. Beautiful pictures of a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteKudos Mike for realizing that nothing you could say would match the beauty of what the photos already say.
